What Can’t I Put in a Storage Unit?
Trunk Space Storage abides by state and federal regulations and business codes regarding what cannot be stored with us for your safety and that of others. Please see your rental agreement for the full list of items that cannot be put into your storage unit. The following items are prohibited in our facilities.
- Food. You cannot store food of any kind, including canned foods, perishable foods, and pet food, in our facility. Storing consumable alcohol is also prohibited.
- Illicit items. Weapons, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property are never allowed to be kept in your storage unit.
- Combustible/flamable materials. To avoid the risk of fire, you cannot store combustible items like fireworks, fuel tanks, and fertilizer. Toxic material is also prohibited.
- Living things. Plants and animals cannot live in storage units, and neither can humans.
