Self Storage Features

We strive to provide industry-leading access hours.  Please check your local Trunk Space Storage facility page or contact your local Trunk Space location for office and access hours. Also, ask our team about any potential holiday closures that may be observed.

We offer a wide range of storage unit sizes, from small storage lockers to units that can fit an entire room. Be sure to check out our unit size guide for assistance with choosing the unit that is suitable for your needs.

We do! Our climate-controlled storage units are specially designed to help keep your storage in a consistent temperature range year-round. However, we cannot guarantee protection against natural disasters, power outages, fires, and other unexpected events. Contact a facility near you to learn about the availability of these units.

While climate control can aid in preserving all storage items, we strongly recommend renting climate-controlled units if you plan on storing any of the following temperature-sensitive items.

  • Paper items, documents, and books
  • Wooden or leather furniture
  • Electronics and appliances
  • Medications, makeup, and other chemical items
  • Musical instruments 

All tenants need to provide their locks to secure their storage units. If you don’t have one and want to purchase a high-quality lock, we have locks available on-site.

Yes! We can sign for and accept deliveries from UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and other delivery companies at select locations. Upon delivery, we will have them ready for you the next time you come in. Contact us to learn more.

Storage Rental Process

If you visit us during office hours, we would happily give you a tour of our facility! Please call ahead so we can ensure someone is ready for you.

Unit prices vary depending on size, type, and location. Contact us for more information about our current rates at a location near you.

Only the tenant named on the lease can sign for the unit. However, we can make exceptions for specific authorized business agents or legal guardians.

Please bring a current government-issued photo ID and be ready to share your current address and a phone number where we can reach you.

By building codes and the law, we prohibit the following items in our storage units:

  • Food, including canned foods, perishable foods, and pet food
  • Alcohol, illicit drugs, and drug paraphernalia
  • Combustible and flammable materials, including fireworks, fuel tanks, and fertilizer
  • Toxic and corrosive substances
  • Living plants and animals, including yourself
  • Illegal items, including prohibited weapons and stolen property

Please see your rental agreement for the full list of items that cannot be put into your storage unit. Contact us if you have questions about what you can and cannot store. 

We have moving and packing supplies available for purchase at all our facilities, including boxes, tape, packing materials, and anything else you might need during your move. We also have carts and dollies that are free to use for your convenience.

Ideally, you’ll notify us as soon as you’ve made the decision. Note that rent is paid at the beginning of each month. Please notify us you’re moving out at least seven days in advance of your next bill due date to avoid being charged for a subsequent month. We will verify that you have moved out.

Of course! While our unit size guide can help you visualize what storage unit size will work best for you, you may realize you need more or less space upon moving in. Our team will gladly work with you to find another unit that better fits your needs.

Payment Options and Insurance

Nope! All our storage spaces are rented month-to-month for your convenience, so you can change your storage solution at a moment’s notice. Rent is due on the anniversary of the move-in date. 

We take all major credit cards, including VISA, Discover, American Express, and Mastercard. 

Your monthly payment will be automatically withdrawn from your card or bank account. Outstanding balances can be manually paid online, over the phone, or in person. 

Yes, we will provide insurance when you rent with us. Call or visit our facility to learn more about the storage insurance we offer at Trunk Space.
